This story is a very loose interpretation or the fantasy version of my life. Serendipitous, is a character that I created which reflects a very big part of myself, and who I hope to become in my nieces world. The character Estelle, also describes me as a child in many ways. I never did have a fairy godmother but I always felt a very strong sense that I was being looked after. Perhaps it was my grandmother that I had lost at a similar age as Estelle discovered her fairy Godmother. The elaborate home was something I depicted from my grandfather’s dreamy ranch that I just recently lost. Growing up, I spent a lot of wonderful, memorable time there. The location was surreal. The house was amazing, placed way up high in the Catskill Mountain. The gardens located outside Estelle’s home was a magical version of my parent’s back yard. As a child I remember them spending a lot of time all throughout the summer adding on and tending to this area with many variations of flowers, shrubbery and fruit trees. I was always day dreaming back there. My creativity varied from painting shells that I picked from the beach with my dad, to choreographing full dance recitals with an entire imaginary audience. So after drawing from all these fantastical experiences, I bring you "The Whimsical Secret Reveal of a Fairy Godmother". Hope it's one you enjoy!
