About the Author

Billy Costar is a dreamer, a son, a father, a husband, a brother, and most of all a lover. He is the oldest of five children. He was born on an island called Sao Vicente in the Cape Verde Islands. He moved to America from Portugal in 1980 at the age of six. Billy is and will always be an athlete. He grew up playing soccer amongst other sports. In 1998, Billy played pro soccer in Portugal. A couple years later in 2000, he began his coaching career in Florida. Billy is now forty years old, happily married with a 5-year-old son. There are many lessons he has learned on and off the field. He just wanted to share a few with you. His older of two sisters’ nicknamed Isa, pronounced (ee-zah), passed away in 1996 in a freak car accident. She was only 19. This incident sent his life spiraling into the unknown but opened up a passion long forgotten of journaling. And journal he did, he wrote, he wrote and then he wrote some more. Journaling, he found, was a way for him to communicate. The Soccer Bee book is just the beginning of his communication. Communication requires a sender, a message, a medium and a receiver. Billy Costar is the sender. The message is simple, love one another and spend time listening, the answers are all around. God gave everybody two ears. Take time to listen. Life is awesome!
