The two walked hand in hand to the flower garden in the backyard. When they came to the daisy patch, they stopped. "Do you remember this game?" Grandma asked. "I sure do!" I replied. Grandma handed me a daisy and as she pulled the first petal off she said, "She loves me." It was now my turn to say, "She loves me not." I was so happy that our time together was back to normal. "She loves me," Grandma sang. I giggled, "She loves me not." "You know that Grandma will always love you," she said smiling. Pulling the last petal she smiled and said, "She loves me." "I will always love you too, Grandma." The two of them walked slowly hand in hand to sit in the shade of the patio.

About the Book
Jodi loves her grandma and all the fun they have together. When she stays with her grandma, she starts to notice changes that she cannot explain. Scared, she turns to her mother for help. After a visit to the doctor, they get the news that Grandma is showing symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. Jodi feels angry, lost, and alone. A nurse helps Jodi understand this awful disease, and Mom reassures Jodi that their love for Grandma will never change.
About the Author
Carma Lee Weisbrook grew up on a farm in Nebraska. Her family and extended family instilled in her faith in God, love of family, and hard work. She graduated from college with a degree in elementary education. She continues to teach and has shared her love of learning with her students for the past thirty-one years. She enjoys writing stories and poems about her family. She got the idea for her first book from her mother, who had Alzheimer's disease. She resides on a farm in Nebraska with her husband, Duane. They have two grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and one grandson.
