This is a story of the lives and loves of ordinary people caught up at the beginning of an extraordinary conflict; the fathers, sons, mothers, and daughters along with all who touched their lives. Although told in a fictional context many of the events did happen. These persons were inter woven with world and life changing events that became much a part of them as the twine of a blanket used by a master weaver to construct the fabric of a New World Order for generations to come. If we are to know what has shaped our lives and our world for the last 50 years then this is the tale that must be told. There two things that society should never forget, one being if we are to have a better life for ourselves and children then we have to know what happened in the past. The second being if we don't take head to the mistakes of the past then we are doomed to repeat them. There is now doubt the last 50 years of our history has seen the inter struggle of mind and body which has turned into a real battle royal for the hearts and souls of many, making a tug of was of spirits, like no other time in the history of mankind.

About the Book
My book attempt to come to grips with how 50 years ago society was jolted, transformed, and completly changed by a great number of earth shaking events that no one saw coming or had any clues as to why, or what was to come. The characters of the book represent those whose lives were either caught up in the cross winds of it all, and those who became casualtesies in the cross hairs. Many of them were to become a part of real life events and represent the turmoil that real people went through who were faced with actions and decisions that normal people had to make. We all become a part of history and the situations we encounter will determine its out come for ourselves and others
About the Author
I am a Viet Nam area Vet. who grew up in and in many cases had first had knowledge of many of the events that I write about. I have also drawn information from others and their experiences during those tramattic times. I have also drawn from historical events as I attempted to inter change them with my characters. Those characters were thrown into the whirlwind not always by choice but as a result of the relationships they had with each other and people around them. I view life as a set of circumstances and situations that we in our limited knowledge must deal with in the best way we know possible. Being from Detroit I almost feel like I am on the front line of all that has happened good, bad, and ugly all over this land in the last 50 years. In my desire to find out what really happened and why, that has drasticly changed all of us I am writing this book in hopes that others along with myself who feel the same way can come away with some reasonable idea of the past so we can plan a better life for ourselves, children, and grandchildren.
