About the Book

This book represent a “how-to” tutorial in the art of raising money. There are a myriad of non profit organizations, seeking to care for needy people, health care, educational causes, which are very good causes. The funds raised go towards maintaining the organization’s mission statement, and each legitimate cause has a strong facts based case on the needs of the organization. How to research entering the field of non profits; how to work for a non profit; how to recruit donors; how to retain donors and above all how to raise money - these are the things that are basic to this book. When economic trends take a down turn, this becomes even more essential, actually changing this field into an art. The goals are to encourage more people to enter the non profit field and how to succeed.

About the Author

Marcia Nacht Werbin holds multiple graduate degrees and has taught everything from nursery school through college; level. She is a published writer and contributor to several newspapers and periodicals. She also lectures and teaches classes both in her community and other parts of the country. She has served as a professional consultant to k-12 schools in multiple locations and has worked on the university level as Director of Institutional Advancement. She has three passions: her family, her writing and her teaching. She has served on a number of boards, and continues to involve herself in the areas which reflect those passions.
