This book is about a man who at age 43 and only after being born again (If you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart, that God raised Him from the dead,you will be saved(Romans 10:8-13). This Author could not save himself and only then was he able to distinguish, differentiate, and express his true feeling; instead of self-medicating them with Alcohol and chemicals for 28 years. Raised in a culture & family who never discussed feeling nor dealt-with, and kept them personally hidden or suppressed. The book is interesting because few men speak with such veracity & boldness about their true genuine feeling; whether it be from pride, lack of humility, or manhood issues. Feeling such as jealousy, abandonment, rejection, loneliness, bitterness, hatred, ect. The Author displays the only thing he knew, anger because he knew not love. We read about God (who is love) the only real true change agent can chisel, mold, and shape any person into his image if they are a willing vessel & come humbly, earnestly, and with a repentant heart.

About the Book
Richard H. Harris Jr. spent 28 years making choices that harmed him emotionally, physically and spiritually. After spending six an half years in prison and allowing God to get him on the right path, Harris entered a new life--- healed mind, body and spirit. This memoir relates the journey of a man who traded in deceit, shame, jealousy and guilt for a life filled with the Holy Spirit that is lived to the glory of God. Readers will be inspired, convicted and convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is real, and it is He who can transform us to become Better not Bitter.
About the Author
Richard H. Harris Jr. is a self-motivated baby boomer whose life in basic and fundamental education; the streets, prison, and college inspired his writing. His familial upbringing and relationships emotionally would shift along with his substance abuse issues. He subsequently entered the prison system for the first time at 43 years old battered, shattered, and tattered. After his release in 2000 he would enter college, successfully complete his 1 year parole plan, obtain an Associate in Applied Science A.A.S. degree (Human Services), be Licensed by the State of Ohio as a Ordained Minister, complete his Bachelor of Social Work B.S.W. Degree, and receive his Masters in Pastoral Counseling M.P.C. degree in late 2008. His self-confidence and passion to help others attain their greatest God given potential is the aspiration. Accomplishing this objective through his onerous life style using Scripture, techniques, and theories created to align with ones spiritual being; there for resulting in lifelong change. Elder Harris’s philosophy is “one has a choice to be better or bitter” regardless of the circumstances. Mr. Harris is a Ordained Minister Social Worker Help Care Professional, Teacher & Motivational Speaker. Elder Harries has five sons, a daughter, 10 grand children and one great grandson.
