About the Book

These sheets should be useful to anybody who writes pub quizzes or a quiz for a charity fund-raising event, or they can be used as a bank of questions, or even just to challenge yourself. They are designed to be photocopied as a written quiz and hence they have spaces for the answers and team names. There are 80 sheets with an average of about 25 questions on each, that’s over 2000 questions. They are called ‘Half Time Quiz’ because you can use them for the written part of the quiz which is usually handed in at ‘half time’ or the interval for marking. This is the part of the quiz that can take much longer to compile.

About the Author

I am a retired teacher from Kent having spent nearly forty years teaching children of all ages from nine upwards, mainly maths, science and IT. I am a member of a quiz team and we attend two pub quizzes on a regular basis. About three years ago at one of them, the ladies running it asked if anyone would like to contribute a half time quiz sheet as they were very pressed for time that week. I took up the challenge and have been doing it ever since, so now I have a large collection of available sheets. Usually I choose a theme and design the quiz sheet round it. When I am not writing quiz sheets I spend my time walking, growing my own vegetables and visiting heritage sites with my camera. I also work for a charity called ‘Beanstalk’ helping children to learn to read.
