About the Book

Elaine, a young girl, decides she can be an artist just like the famous artists of the past. She begins to share her passion of art with her mother, drawing and painting. About the Author

Angelia Young is an artist, professor of art, and mother of two. She believes art evokes emotion and seeks to communicate that feeling to aspiring artists. Angelia has shared her passion with everyone from young children to college students. She believes that within art, you will see the artist. Angelia Young began her excitement of art at a very young age. Her skills as an artist continued as she completed her education in child development and a K-12 Education degree, a Bachelors of Arts. She owned and operated a daycare for eight years for children ages 0 – 10 during her completion of her degree. As she completed her Master of Fine Arts degree, Angelia studied in Paris, France with some of the best professors, shown and sold her work around the world and took part in several art shows. During this time she worked as a Curator and Marketing Manager for a local art gallery. Currently Angelia teaches art and humanities courses at several universities both online and in the classroom. She teaches elementary children how to draw in an after school program and teaches basic art skills to adults of all ages. She continues to show her work around the world and curates women’s art shows encouraging women in the arts. As Angelia Young shares her passion for art she wants to communicate with children to continue with their love of art in all forms.
