About the Book
Lucinda is a girl with a dream, an improbable goal. She wants to climb the oak tree that is such a big part of her world. But she has to do it her way. On her own. Through her own hard work and effort. She must do it in a way that will give her confidence and pride in knowing that she has accomplished her goal. Lucinda is not afraid of the challenge. She is unhappy at the thought of not accepting the challenge. Let Lucinda inspire you to achieve your goals—even the impossible ones.
About the Author
Kathleen Vossler is a lawyer in Houston. She wrote Lucinda and the Mighty Oak in 1989, as a metaphor for the challenges she was facing as a single mother of three children, working her way through college toward her goal of becoming a lawyer. She now shares Lucinda with you and hopes that you, too, will be inspired, encouraged, and empowered to seek your happiness—to follow your dreams and achieve your goals.
