About the Author

Roy Leaford Hamilton III (born in Queens, New York) is an African American #1 Pop and R&B songwriter, record producer, and musician. Collectively, these skills and abilities have helped to sell over 70 million albums worldwide. Hamilton is the author of several Artist Development eBooks, operates modernAandR.com promoting Artist Development & Music Industry knowledge. Hamilton scored his first Number 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit when he co-wrote and co-produced “Stutter” for Multi-platinum R&B singer Joe. In 2002 Hamilton Executive Produced the Keith Sweat album Rebirth which debut at No. 7 on the Billboard R&B Charts. Hamilton has been working with other acts such as Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Babyface, Pras Michel, Justin Timberlake, Jamie Foxx & R. Kelly. Roy has also been instrumental in developing songwriters, artists as well as producers, like Tommy Brown (“Just Can’t Get Enough”, The Black Eyed Peas), Rob A! (“Disturbia” -Rihanna) and The Jackie Boyz (“Eenie Meenie” -Justin Bieber). In 2011 Hamilton graduated Berklee College of Music in Boston where he earned a Music Business Masters certificate, as well as a Professional Artist Management certificate.
