“So do you open stores often or—“ “No this is my first. I helped to run a farm equipment business with my father and uncle in Edmonton.” “So why did you move to Kingston Ontario away from your own busines?" Mark and Kelly had an enjoyable morning talking in his kitchen as Elizabeth slept. Kelly is a beautiful young woman, a breath of fresh air for Mark. His distractions were many and focus strained by the responsibilities of the past months but making friends with Kelly allowed the burdens to be forgotten when he was with her. This new distraction that he had found in Kelly was a welcomed one. The softness in her eyes he saw as he poured out his agony, the spirit that touched his heart as she sympathized with him and the sweetness in which she used to interact with his mother caused Mark to desire and embrace in a friendship with Kelly. He had never felt such yearnings in his heart and he knew them to be true. The more he let himself ponder on these feelings the testament of what was forthcoming in this relationship was very strongs? "I would imagine a farming equipment business would be very lucrative.” “Yes well you see—um, there was an accident. My father and uncle were crushed by fallen machinery.” Mark’s eyes welled up and he got choked up as he tried to tell Kelly about the accident. Kelly was so sweet and showed much sympathy for her new friend. She reached for his hand. “I’m so terribly sorry Mark. Please forgive me for prying.” “You are not, I guess we both have a couple of stories to tell don’t we.” “Yes my friend. So let’s enjoy our tea and try to keep each other’s spirits up.” “Anyway, it’s still all very fresh in my memory. I didn’t see it happen but I did find them. My dad died instantly.” He paused to catch his composure. “My uncle—he died a few hours later. After the funeral my mother went into a rest home and is still not well.” “OH my dear Mark. How do you keep going?”

About the Book
Kelly Gerard is a twenty two year old university student who works at a bakery in her off school hours and when arriving for work is accidently bumped into by Mark Scott who has leased the adjoining store to the bakery in prospects of opening a hardware store. Mark Scott is twenty four, very handsome , uptight and business like. He is ungaged in the thought of being in a relationship The two bond during their day to day happenings and many other characters are associated with bringing Mark and Kelly together and where they need to be to touch the lives of those who find need in Kelly’s charitable and beautiful spirit. The tremendous contrast in their background stories, Marks tragic loss and Kelly’s story book life cement their commitment. Kelly touches the lives of Elizabeth, Marks mother and two fellow university students, Linda and Patricia. There is an opportunity to heal for these characters and they find an angel in Dear Kelly.
About the Author
About two years ago I borrowed two romance novels and while reading the second novel I was inspired to write a romance story of my own. I felt at that time that it’s not rocket science to write a story and I decided that it was something that I could do. If I am successful as an author, It would be a pleasure to afford romance novel readers the opportunity to feel good and escape worldly pressures while reading stories that I create. I went on to read several more romance novels to find that a few of then bordered on being pornographic which I do not care to or enjoy reading. I wanted a story that is romantic, dramatic, whimsical, funny, one with a good flow to the story line and above all, one to make the reader relax and feel good. I like the story that I have created, it’s one that I am proud to put my name on. I live in Belleville Ontario in Canada. I am a single person, mother of two grown sons and grandmother to two girls and a boy. I am self employed and have been for twelve years cleaning houses. I enjoy the work and have become good friends with most of my clients. Even though the work gets hard sometimes I would rather labour this way then work in crowded factories. I own a small home in a resident own community. I have taught Sunday school for eight years and am currently in the nursery with children eighteen months to three years old. It is the highlight of my week being with the children. I never dreamed that I would like to write a book, I never even enjoyed pleasure reading until the time I borrowed the novels but it is my dream now to hold that first novel from the printing company in my hand. This is an adventure that I have held dear to my heart and look forward to leaning much more about writing on this adventure and creating more gentle romance stories.
