This pioneering book gives reflexology a complete makeover from the standard approaches of using moderate to heavy massage on the reflexes. This new approach is one of working with the client or patient by utilizing their own built in self healing properties. The book discusses how both acute and chronic conditions may be treated. Treatment of acute pain syndromes uses foot reflexes with acupoints (the author sees no discernible difference between reflexes and acupoints). Treatment of chronic conditions utilizes the reflections of the chakra energy system on the feet, hands, arms and legs. By using the chakras, the author shows how the the aetiology of imbalance may be addressed. About the Author
Dr. John Cross has remained at the forefront of both orthodox and complementary therapies for over 40 years. He has reached the top of both the acupuncture and physiotherapy professions being awarded a doctorate of acupuncture for his work on the integration of Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine and a Fellowship of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for his work on the integration of professional complementary therapies into mainstream physical therapy. He is the author of six previous books on acupuncture, acupressure, the chakra energy system and the reflected pathways. He continues to give workshops worldwide and runs an advisory service for practitioners through his web site and the 'All Experts' organization. He resides in the Isle of Skye, Scotland, where he runs a 12 acre croft with his wife Andrea.
