About the Book

I try to live my life as honest as possible but yet I know I'm not perfect. This book isn't meant to judge anyone or put anyone down, and I also try to live according to my words. I don't want to live under, "Do as I say and not as I do", I follow my own words just as much as I encourage the next person. This book was meant to show that anybody can do anything they want all you have to do is take charge and stop waiting for things to happen. I love talking about real things that everyone can relate to and stimulating the mind, so I hope this accomplishes that goal and encourages a positive change in the way people think. Love Always!

About the Author

Brittany Phillips decided to write this book at a young age as she kept thinking about things she wanted to do with my life and actually started at the age of 15. People may think, “She’s too young, she doesn’t know anything”, but this book is original. She wanted to write about regular and normal everyday topics. She likes to read but if a book doesn’t catch her attention she’ll drop it. So she chose to do something different. She’s from Houston, Texas, born and raised and she grew up in a single parent home with her mom and her sister. She love her mom and everything she’s done for her. She’s sacrificed and worked and even went without things just so her sister and her can have whatever they needed. Unconditional love like that is very rare and someday she hopes to be able to share that with her kids and hopefully husband too. Her mom is in the army and after her first semester in middle school she went to move in with her aunt while her mom went to Alabama. So far that’s where she was and she was lucky that in 2008 her mom got to come back home. Altogether about her, it’s simple; she’s a simple young lady from Houston, Texas, in the streets of 5th ward with big dreams and goals. She plans to make them all into realities and help others once she makes it. She has a kind heart like her both of her grandma’s and it makes her know that giving is way better than receiving. She believes that’s what God made her for. Her birthday is June 27, 1991 and that day was born a blessing to the world. She has always loved to sing, dance, write poetry, and do hair, anything with music /giving back, and speaking her mind. She has more dreams than just writing, this book is one, having her own organization, her own recreation centers and altogether her own empire. At the time of being a senior in high school she was Miss. Barbara Jordan 2008-2009, captain of the Kashmere Senior High School cheerleaders, a Mademoiselle Secretary and step master, Class of 2009 class officer, National Honor Society Member, proud A-B student, and more. She’s now attending Prairie View A&M University with a major in business management and she I plans to have a minor in music. This is where she is and the completion of her first book and hopefully see her going further in the near future.
