With this book, you will be introduced to the world of bone reconstruction and making the body look like how it is supposed to be. With diligent research and great experience in the field, Dr. Mishev has compiled research material on how we can reconstruct the body by manipulating the supporting tissue.

About the Author

CORICULUM VITAE Blagoy Slavche Mishev, MD, PhD, Orth. Surg. Co., Professor Emeritus, UM PRACTICAL ACTIVITY I graduated from Skopje, MK, in 1961. I then continued with medical studies in the Faculty for General Medicine by University of Skopje until 1967, when I began as a doctor of general practice. After finishing my obligation in military service for one year, I began with general medical practice in Poliklinika na RSVR pri SRM in 1968, where I worked until 1971. After that I continued with work and special study in orthopaedic surgery from 1972 to 1975 in Skopje, Belgrade, Zagreb, and Ljubljana. Because of my orthopaedics perfection, I visited Bulgaria in 1975; the United Kingdom’s University College of Radiology in 1979; Wrightington Hospital near Wigan in 1984; Switzerland’s Bern and Lugano in 1989; Russia’s Ortopedski-pedijatrieski istra`uvaki institut Turner - gorod Pukin, Sankt Petersburg, in 1989; and Sweden’s Goteborg in 1990. The results achieved in my orthopaedic practice stimulated me to make an analysis about the biomechanical properties of supporting tissues. In 1998 I had defended a doctorial study titled “Biomechanical and clinical analysis of the extremities exposed to method strain of tension by Ilizarov and external fixateur, based on the observations and experiences obtained in medical patients treated in Hospital for Orthopaedic Diseases by University of Skopje, Macedonia, in the period from 1972 to 1998”, and I acquired the title doctor of sciences Later I became docent professor in Orthopaedics. Now, I am professor emeritus. I have more than 120 studies that were presented in many congresses, local or international, and described in abstract books. I also have described seven books as contributions to Orthopedics.
