About the Book

The creation of a peaceful world by natural means of selection is highly unlikely without having the convergence of science with religion in the modern civilization. The American Philosopher Jesse C. Fleming, a retired Associate Professor, and the “Divya Quran Educational Foundation” of India both provided this convergence when they read my previous book, “Terrorist Are Born When the Pairs Break”, based on the same basic law of creation which is applied to this study. Dr. Jesse C. Fleming wrote to me, “I appreciate your idea that all existences from quarks to societies only function when there is a balanced complementariness of opposites or pairs, and your very logical conclusion that human rights too are possible only when this balance is maintained – otherwise “terrorism” wins......” where as the Divya Quran Educational Foundation sent me a letter saying, “We found the book as one of the best Islamic literature- far away from religious traditionalism...... the base of this book i.e. God created everything in pairs, and its detailed presentation singles out this book as the unique great human work. ............” I was profoundly encouraged with the two letters endorsing the convergence of science with the divine religion. We need this convergence for developing a global consensus for the creation of a peaceful world by natural means of selection. The Author

About the Author

The author, Engineer Abdul Ghafoor Khan, a post graduate in Electrical Engineering from the United Kingdom, is a consulting Engineer by profession and has been the Head of Electrical Engineering Department in a prestigious consulting Engineering company in Saudi Arabia since 1981. He has been monitoring engineering activities since then in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Spain, Japan, Morocco, Egypt and U.A.E. for the projects of the company. He is a keen observer of nature and the follower of the advances in physics, particularly those which explain the behaviour of all forces and substances in nature, human beings included. He believes that the modern civilization is in spiritual crisis and one of the reasons is the conflict between science and religion which is created neither by science nor by religion but by the mankind itself because of its ignorance. It is explained in a specific chapter in this book. He was born in a Pakhtoon family in ex-princely state of Swat Pakistan which was merged later on by a military regime as the district of Malakand Division Pakistan in 1969 against the wishes of the people. This is among the major reasons because of which the exemplary progress and development of the valley stopped and the conspirators, later on, succeeded in subjecting the peace loving people to one of the most excruciating and dastardly acts of terrorism in human history, he says. The author was educated at his home town Saidu Sharif up to the higher secondary level at Wadoodia High School and Jahanzeb College before joining the then Engineering College, Peshawar University, known now as the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar. Later on he went to the United Kingdom for higher education where his post graduate studies at the Master of Science level included: Transmission and distribution of electrical power, high voltage technology and switch gear technology. His professional career started in the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) of Pakistan in 1967. While working in WAPDA; the government sent him to the Iranian Ministry of Water and Power on deputation where he worked for over two years as the Chief of the Electrical Power network of the province of Seistan and Baluchistan from March 1972 to August 1974. The author believes that we all are parts of a bigger body which is our natural world and that no one among us can build itself by destroying others. Such destruction disturbs the balance of the bigger body and hits back, he says. The damage to environments and the destruction of Afghanistan are among the easily understandable examples which he has proved in this study. He is an admirer of people in the West for their contribution towards making their great societies and advancing science and technology in the cause of humanity. However, some individuals, he says, who misuse the power of technology to kill innocent people, weaken humanity and destabilize our world do not deserve his admiration. Such acts of terror, he believes, committed either by misusing technological advancement and false religious indoctrination or by creating conditions of hunger and under nourishment, are allowed neither by any norm of civilization nor by any divine religion. The author has already written three books namely ‘Quiet Violence’, ‘Kalabagh Dam’ and ‘Terrorism’, all being in Urdu language for domestic readers. His forth book is in English language and its name is “Terrorists Are Born When the Pairs Break”, bearing ISBN: 978-1-4490-2523-4 and printed simultaneously by Author House in the U.K. and the U.S.A. The book is available from Author House and other famous sites.
