About the Author

Ebaneza Headbands was inspired by Ebonie Ealey. Ebonie Ealey is an up and coming author and entrepreneur. Ebonie always has enjoyed fashion and poetry since she was a young girl. Pursing her dream in Fashion Ebonie Ealey competed in Hal's Jackson Talented teen in Passaic County NJ. She won the competition in 2003 with an original monologue inspired by one of her poems. Following that competition, she ran for Miss Hal Jackson Talented teen of NJ. She placed second runner up. That year she was able to go the St. Thomas Virgin Islands and experience the beauty of the island. She then continued with her education at Syracuse University. She graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelors Degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies. She studied a year abroad in Madrid her junior year of college. During that time she worked at European Vibe promoting clubs and interning with their magazine section. After a wonderful traveling experience in Europe, in 2009 Ebonie Ealey moved to Rota Spain with her husband. During this time they conceived a beautiful baby girl Chyanne Marie. Ebonie Brings fashion where ever she goes. She created a fashion club "Passion for Fashion" group in Rota Spain for children of the ages 10-18. She brought the children information about different cultures fashion, taught them how to runway walk and how be confident in front of a crowd. With Ebonie's passion for fashion and love for sharing, it encouraged her to start her company Ebaneza's Headband. During this time Ebonie began to self publish her book “No More Rules: Black Poetry Inspired by Black Art”. Ebonie has been working on this book since her senior year of college. Ebonie has always dreamed of being an author, and now her dream has come true.
