About the Book

Dr. Dan Wilder has spent most of his life either with a nanny or alone. He’s wanted it that way until one morning on rounds, he hears a very captivating voice as he approaches a patient’s room. Glancing in, he sees a lovely new nurse as she talks to the patient about her husband being killed in Iraq and a dilemma about her small farm and two horses. Dan has always been so fascinated with horses, and immediately wants to know more about this intriguing lady and the problem she faces.

His pursuit of her attention is both humorous and endearing, but can he convince her that his love is real?

About the Author

Galesburg, Illinois was Sally’s home from the age of three to sixty-seven. It wasn’t a large city, and her teen years were filled with many activities at school and also at a well-chaperoned youth center close by. Her home was just a half block from a riding stable, and she was able to go riding several times before residential building caused the stable to move outside of the city limits. Her uncle also owned a farm where a few horses were kept.

She’d always felt that riding was an unforgettable experience, so she could sympathize with her character, Dr. Dan Wilder, when he couldn’t, during his youth, even get near the one animal with which he was so fascinated.

Sally now lives in Lawrence, Kansas, with her husband, J.T. After spending over five years in the ever growing Charlotte, NC, she is now content to live in a somewhat smaller area again, although Lawrence is a very active college community. She’s involved in the Women’s Ministries at her church, and enjoys being close to family.
