About the Book

This book contains a comprehensive idea on how to work on leather. Aside from describing how to cut leather, make pattern, assembling parts, putting up leather hardwares, this book describes how to make surface designs in small and big leather articles. Likewise, this book contains how to make fashion ladies handbags and making ordinary footwear without the need of a shoe last. Morever, in order to encourage, would be exporters, the seasonal product development for each leather goods categories plus the description of each category are all included.

About the Author

Delfin or Del among his acquaintances had been an exporter of footwear and children dresses to US, UK, South Africa and New Zealand. Before migrating to the US, he was importing footwear machineries representing a company from Bremen, Germany. From 1975 to 1985, he represented Oriental Trading Corporation a subsidiary of Suave Shoe Corporation, a publicly traded shoe company in US during that period. He started his own business at a time when the US companies were out sourcing their consumable wares to China. Prior to being a businessman, he was a classroom teacher. His career turned around after he was awarded a scholarship grant under the United Nations Economic Assistance in the Far East in 1969-70. He took up Footwear and Leather Goods manufacture in Chennai, India and had toured all Industrial Estates of India. It was during this tour that he became interested in export.
