About the Book

This little book hopefully will appeal to seven to ten year old’s – plus their parents. I hope to inspire their curiosity and maybe write a book of their own. If they cannot travel maybe it will encourage them to look more closely at their basements, gardens and parks where they might encounter a saddleback caterpillar! With all the wonderful information and images they can find in libraries and on the internet, they should never be bored and find writing a lot of fun. And certainly, with all the programs on food, they could certainly change the menu on the Hill of Tara.

About the Author

Aileen, a horticulturist and landscaper, grew up and was educated in the United Kingdom. After working for five years in an office in London, she travelled to Montreal, married and then lived for the next twenty years in eight different countries, including ten years in South America, thus seeing many unknown, interesting and strangely beautiful creations of nature. For many years she has lived on a farm in Pennsylvania tending cows and watching all the miracles of colors and flights of birds and insects - jotting down interesting curiosities to share with family members and friends.
