Funny Spaghetti

“There’s something funny going on,
Here in my spaghetti,” said Rhonda.
“It’s slithering and crawling-
(By now she was bawling)
 I think it’s an anaconda!”

She pushed and pulled and swirled and twirled
And slurped at the strange sound of hissing-
But when she was done
The anaconda had won,
And poor little Rhonda was missing.

I’ll need a small piece of the moon,
A ruby plate with a diamond spoon,
A jasper ring of emerald green
And a song that a golden canary sings.

I’ll also need some green seaweed
From the bottom of the deepest sea,
A mermaid’s tail, a pirate’s sail,
A shiny pearl from an oyster shell,
A treasure chest from an ocean quest,
The feathers of a falcon’s crest,
The highest branch from a tall oak tree
And the stinger from a bumblebee.

At The Zoo

Please don’t feed the monkeys
And please don’t feed the wild pigs.
See-last time, we
Found the chimpanzee
Chewing on a wig.

He refused to eat bananas
And he wouldn’t swing in the trees,
But he ate-
All one through eight
Of the Johnson family.

And please don’t ride the camels
Or the baby elephants.
They’ve been known friend,
To eat full grown men,
From the top of their heads
to the end of their pants.

So please don’t feed the crocodiles
And please don’t feed the seal.
