Angels Under Siege is a story about how a simple childhood rivalry between two close friends can lead to murder and total chaos years after they’ve grown into adulthood.

Young, beautiful, single, recent college graduate, Dr. Karla Rene Bennett, PhD, return home from college to a loving, supportive family and friends and one bad thing after another befalls her.  First a childhood friend of hers is murdered in cold-blood while protecting her from the same fate, she’s kidnapped by sexual predators, she’s assaulted, etc., etc. but, in the midst of all the chaos, she manages to find a dream job, love, and a dream husband who’s perfect for her in every way, but their happiness doesn’t last very long.

Is Karla under siege and her friends just keep getting caught in the crossfire or is it just bad karma?  As the story unfolds, you may think you know who all the bad guys are and where the bodies are buried, but do you?


About the Author

L. Harold-Thomas was born in Lousiana, is a part-time small business owner with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.  Angels Under Siege is her first attempt at writing a full-length novel, but in it she establishes herself as a powerful, passionate, intuitive storyteller.  The story is packed with warmth, wit, passion, romance, rivalry, unbridled sexual desire, drugs, lies, deceit, danger, murder, love and hatred and it is entertaining as well as enlightening.  It is a story that reflects real life action and portrays human beings as they sometimes are, which makes it provocative, irresistible reading.
