Words of Wisdom Never marry for love, but for friendship. Never sleep a night, heavy with malice in your heart, it’s a complete waste of emotion. Never make love just because you can, but for the bond it rings. Never count the friends you’ve missed, but for the good times you shared, you will always find them. Love to think you can remember every single minute of your past, but, spend more, pondering what to do with your future. Unavoidable situations are unfortunate, so we believe, to have a perfect control of one’s future, i believe is more destructive. Fate is an element to believe in, a good excuse not to have ambition. Hate to know it’s true, no man would be successful, without sacrifice of another. The philosophy of good only comes from bad, success from failure, and a cathedral from crumbs of destruction.

Eight years I have known Charlie, eight years I have mourned Charlie and eight more years I have lived, because Charlie is dead…Almost every poem in this book is based on true-life event and in almost every poem in this book, there is a song…a story to be told. The words are simple. The poems encompass every aspect of life, from love… lust…tragedy…religion... to death and more!
About the Author
Dr 'Deji Ayoade is an American writer of Nigerian origin. He completed his medical training from the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria after which he practiced alongside other medical professionals internationally. His affection for creative writing sprang from writing scientific research papers, one of which earned him a Netherlands Professional Grant in 2007. He also won a scholarship to complete an accelerated master’s program in international health policy and management at the Heller Graduate School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University, Massachusetts, USA in 2008. In 2009, he completed another master’s degree In healthcare services management at the Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University, USA. The author is a strong fan of poetry and had written several poems for different occasions. He currently serves with the United States Navy, Navy Medical Center, San Diego, California.
