Because of their depth and poignancy, they serve as palatable cooked-and-packaged food, and save us the hassle of collecting ingredients and cooking them ourselves. The minimum they do for us is to widen our list of options to handle different situations of life and be better prepared for all eventualities.

About the Author

Dr. Qureshi is Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Radiology and the Executive Medical Director of the Stroke Center at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Three years ago, he founded the Zeenat Qureshi Stroke Research Center that continues to perform cutting edge research in developing new treatments for stroke. His book is a compilation of quotations, related to all spheres of life, generated from years of learning from mentors, circumstances, and eventually students. This book is not a message but a tool of inspiration to unravel messages that exist around us at all times. It is a reminder to all of us that ignorance is not a consequence of the unseen, but of the unrecognized. It is an attempt to pass from one hand to another, the most valued gift of all, the core of wisdom.
