A LOVING THIEF
Sat in the twilight oblivious
Of my surroundings unconscious
Gazing at the bounty of my wealth
Graciously to me life has dealt
Or was it the explosion of gases
With the strong barking of my dog
I knew at once I was being robbed
She walked to me with staff in hand
I stared in fear awaiting her command
Trembling fast like a winter leaf
As I stood before this raging thief
She waved a wand I lost my mind
And for a moment I sure went blind
But pretty soon, my sight returned
I looked around but she was gone
I checked around for what she stole
But all my gold remained in whole
I sat amazed and discovered that
She only stole my tender heart
A MIRAGE
‘Look afar and there’s a pool’
‘It’s not true, don’t be a fool’
My hallucination, a crazy delusion,
A false impression, an optical illusion,
My imagination, a misapprehension,
Great confusion, a mystification
‘Look behind, we didn’t drown’
‘Yeah, I know, you little clown’

About the Book
This is a ‘feel good’ anthology of poetry in which all the 82 poems follow different rhyme patterns with great humour that will leave the reader smiling. Hence, the title ‘Rhymes from the heart’. The book covers very simple everyday issues about love and romance, marriage and relationships, grief and hope, spiritual belief, positive attitude and Mother Nature.
The beauty of the book is the simple form of language that will appeal to all age groups and profession especially those that dislike poetry because they always seem to need interpretation – Not in this book.

He was born in 1980, in
He has always loved creative writing for a hobby and has written so many articles for different magazines. He wrote the whole collection of poems over the last summer and decided to make it into a book. The author finds inspiration from everyday issues and documents it in a way all will enjoy. He is currently writing his debut novel which should be out early next year.
