God’s Mantra: by peace brother Jimichael Engels A four-part spoken oratorio and verse drama, GOD’s Mantra, Gradus ad Paradisum (Latin for Steps to Paradise), A Circular Song is a conversation among the three persons of the Trinity. The first voice to speak is the spirit, addressing the source that subsequently responds, not however without the intervening of the spouse who speaks with two voices: I and we—such is the human situation, not one but two voices, singular and plural. God’s mantra, the poem, is thus a four-part dramatic song with a background of mantra music. The whole song has no finale. It is therefore circular, sounding like an antiphonal, extended, and endless mantra. Furthermore, I have been reliably informed that God’s mantra could successfully be choreographed. God’s Mantra, Steps to Paradise, A Circular Song is offered as a radio play. Each sections of it is a mini scenario of every permutation and combination of love and forgiveness or anger and loneliness. Namaste!
