About the Book

God is love. He often reveals himself in special ways to show his love to us. A friend once said that this life is a big classroom. God has us in the classroom to learn the lessons. He is the teacher and uses the obstacles as the means for us to learn of his love, his discipline, and his sovereignty. Through learning, we draw closer to God. However, there are so many circumstances in the world that cause people not to feel or sense his presence. Because I understand how you feel, I decided to invite you on a journey to see how he has been revealing himself through the obstacles of this life to cause me to grow in him. The purpose of My Heart Longs for the Lord is to reach out to people from all walks of life. I pray that this book can be inspiring and encouraging to many in their walk with God and enhance their personal relationship with him.

About the Author

It has been twenty-five years since the Lord brought Lei Deng Cantrell from Beijing, China to Springfield, MO. so that she might know Him, follow Him, and learn to do His Will. Her First book, One In A Billion, shares with the audience her testimony -- how she came to know the Lord and what God has done in her first ten years of journey with Him. Lei has been working in food service for over 20 years, sharing her testimony with co-workers and customers, to both neighbors and to people from all over the world, along with her church family at Southern Heights Bible Church. Her new book -- My Heart Longs For The Lord -- invites the audience on a journey to see how God has been revealing Himself through the obstacles of this life to cause her to grow in and closer to Him. Lei and her husband Tim have been married 21 years. They have two children, Leianna and Josiah. Both are growing in the Lord, and are such a blessing from the Lord.
