Day Twelve
Devotion: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have not love I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned but have not love it profits me nothing. ICor. 13:1-3
Premise: No matter how kind the gesture, how great the act, or how wise the counsel, if it is not done in love, pure, genuine, untainted love, it will not have the ability to bear fruit nor the capacity to affect change. It becomes meaningless ceremony which when tested against the world will surely fail.
Commentary: Genuine acts of love bear fruit. They continue to generate and perpetuate a spirit of goodness and a sense of well-being or elation long after they, as a single act are done. They bless both the giver and the receiver. They open up a venue for blessings to flow in one's life. True acts of love have the power to renew, heal and revitalize. It is a power that is generated as a result of the self-sacrifice The Father conveyed when He gave His Only Begotten Son to be our Redeemer. If in our actions or our personal relationships we are not motivated by love, then those acts and relationships become empty and impotent. An empty act can not take root and therefore will not yield fruit impregnated with the Spirit of love. An act generated in love is forgiving of the shortcomings of man and his situations and therefore blesses him. They show forth the majesty of YHWH. YHWH blesses acts of love by returning to us the same love that we give out. This love that He restores to our lives becomes blessings to us in unforseen ways. Rare are those who have learned to love unconditionally despite the many and varied situations that trigger feelings of enmity in their life's circumstance. We are angry, we are frustrated. We are irritable, we are irritated. We are everything but "in love". There is such pressure to conform to external realities, to be politically, socially and morally correct. So great is the pressure that we pretend to be all those things even when the truth is that we are none of them. It boils down to always doing the right thing to stay within the context of mainstream and normal society. How often have we smiled and put on the face of one thing while thinking another? Daily we search through our mind's mental memorandum for the do's and don'ts of every occasion; looking for the appropriate responses to every situation. We are careful not to step on the toes and hurt feelings of those whom we deem worthy of such considerations. It's easy to become jaded by the whole process. We lose our spontaneity and our love for life. Beneath all the "must do's" and "don't do's", we lose our passion for natural responses...
Inspiration: Love is a healing balm. Acts of love bless. They bless both giver and recipient. Acts of love restore and replenish. There is nothing comparable to the blessing of love. YHWH loves us. He so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son. He sacrificed something of great value to show us the depth of His Love. By virtue of our relationship which is made possible by His Son, we can learn...

Blessed is a book about surrendering, about trusting and about allowing God to have His way. Blessed is about a realtime, in season experience with YHWH by virtue of a right relationship with His Son, Yahoshua The Messiah. It is a work that is inspired by His Spirit and governed by His love. These are writings from a heart that is connected to YHWH by Divine inspiration.
When reading Blessed, no one interpretation or experience will be the same. By virtue of His Holy Spirit alive on the inside of you the reader, you will meet Him where you are and be encouraged to come up higher. Blessed is an invitation to experience the revelation of His Grace from a fresh perspective and through that perspective build His Kingdom. It is established on a sure foundation of His teachings and principles of truth.
Now is the time for The Body of The Messiah to wake up to the call of life beyond the formality of structured religion. It is time to walk with the power and demonstration of His Spirit. It is an awakened spirit borne of that one on one relationship, anointed from on High. Blessed invites you into the secret place of His Presence so that you may become as He is. Blessed is a blessing to all who will receive it. It is the perfect gift from Him to you.
About the Author
Born, Faye Eileen Beard, in Harlem, New York, it was clear from an early age that she was a child of great promise. As a young woman she struggled for a sense of identity in a world that denied the significance of living a life of virtue and spirituality. Although she demonstrated academic excellence, it never held compelling significance for her. She could not understand having knowledge void of a higher purpose. Those around her said knowledge was to be used to gain economic security and prestige but she was never quite convinced. Instead she found that the pursuit of the Divine and the establishment of a personal relationship with God brought her much joy. At an early age, her perceptions, views and ideas set her apart. As she became older, she grew in understanding. It became clear to her that we all have been given a gift to share in this world and only to the extent that we share it, can it grow, enabling the individual to live purposefully and in self-fulfillment. Acknowledgement of that truth has inspired Faye, spiritually known as Hawwah Nofeeyah, to be faithful to her calling having been blessed with great spiritual insights and penetrating understandings into the human condition. In Blessed, for the first time these insights are shared with the public in the hope that they might serve as inspiration and a source of strength for others who too must find the courage and conviction to act, based on principle; realizing that we all have a voice and must speak out righteously for a world which now struggles for its very existence and the right to be humane.
