About the Author
Rosemary Jenkins views teaching as both her profession and avocation. She has been devoted to it for well over thirty years (her husband suspects she will never retire). She often takes students to far-off lands, hoping the time spent will enrich their lives and make what they have studied come to life.
Recently, Rosemary has published two non-fiction books, A Quick-and-Easy Reference to Correct Grammar and Composition and Vignettes for Understanding Literature and Related Concepts, both designed to assist the average "man on the streets" as well as students and teachers for whom they were originally planned.
Her flair for writing poetry, however, reflects her true creative bent. For her, words are fertile ground, rich and vibrant and energetic. She believes that civilizations rise and fall based upon how sensitively we interconnect with each other. It is Ms. Jenkins'' hope that her poetry will bring you an insight into her views on the world: "Jacob''s Brother" is but one example of her attempt to show how modifying our perceptions can make the world a better place!
