Yvonne Johnson, Ph.D. and Sonya Johnson, Ph.D. were born and raised in Memphis, TN. Yvonne received her Bachelor of Arts in History from Clark Atlanta University, her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Capella University. Sonya received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Clark Atlanta University, her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Capella University. Both Johnson sisters are educators in the Shelby County Schools System. The Illustrator , Lee E. Johnson, is the father of Yvonne and Sonya.
