About the Book

Obedient and humble, Aunty Mully walked off her family farm with no possessions and narrow academic knowledge. A slow and bumpy bus ride took her into busy Kingston, Jamaica, where only limited job opportunities were on offer. Like a warrior seeking a more progressive way to live, she flew across the Atlantic Ocean to Britain. There, she undertook Blue-collar duties in the National Health Service (NHS) in order to create her descendants’ new beginning. Their obedient duty includes active army service. Facts based events and colourful, post-card style pictures that captured the character of this community.
