About the Book
To "zap" is the ability to sift through the detail and go straight to the point. The power of the mind to visualize new ideas and scenarios is infinite. However, the rigid conditioning we undergo to meet society's rigid demands enables us to use to use only a fraction of its immense power. ZAP is about unlocking this unlimited multidimensional power of the mind and employing it for innovation and problem solution. Drawing examples from leading thinkers and innovators, the author shows that the mind can solve any problem when it is systematically focused on it over time.
About the Author
Awori Achoka is a Kenyan, born on July 22, 1956. He is a strategic thinker and innovator on livelihood issues. He is the coauthor of Uhai: A Model for Sustainable Livelihoods in Africa (1996). He has championed numerous innovative projects in the area of sustainable livelihoods in Africa. In 1990, jointly with two others, he won an international award for innovation in renewable energy, from Stockholm Innovations for Development Association (IDEA).
