Primarily an oil painter of photo-realism and surrealism, I tell stories that tug at the mind and heart visually. My writing has always played a role in helping me to elaborate on the concepts of my artwork with a little more detail. When my daughter Ella Miraeu was born, I felt compelled as a new daddy to create art that she could interact with and learn from. I didn't just want to teach numbers and letters or tell fun stories. I wanted to explore powerful life lessons with her as she grows. I believe struggles mold us and give us the best opportunities to learn to be the best versions of ourselves. I have always felt that it is often the more miniscule struggles that yield the most profound changes in us.
