Ollie the Ogre is a very greedy Ogre who keeps eating all his 'friends' in the forest where he lives. One day he takes it too far and ends up somewhere he'd rather not be!

About the Author

My name is Lesley and I was born and bred in Lancashire in the UK. I am the middle child of three children, the eldest being my brother Richard, who sadly passed away in 2010 and the youngest, our Annie who served in the RAF for many years. My late mother, Elsie used to write stories and read us them at bedtime. She tried to get her books published but gave up at the first rejection, which was a shame as we always enjoyed them. I started working as a nursery nurse over ten years ago and have always enjoyed reading to the children. Sometimes i found myself reading a story which i felt wasn't capturing the imaginations of the children and would avoid reading them. One particular day i made up a story for an activity at the nursery and the children loved it, so i put it into writing and asked the children to draw the illustrations for me. We then made it into a 'book' using a laminator and treasury tags! This spurred me on to write more stories for the children and the ideas just kept on coming. We had a visit and a storysack workshop at the nursery from the author Neil Griffiths who writes children's stories. I showed him my stories and he was really impressed and told me to send them off to be published. He gave me a list of prospective publishers and told me that if I was rejected to keep on trying. I sent them off to many publishers and got many rejection letters. Finally, three years down the line I was approached by Authorhouse regarding my stories and I signed up to have two of my stories published.
