About the Book

The idea for this book was conceived on a beach in Puerto Rico during a challenging time of Faleen's life when all that could be done was to throw her arms up to the heavens and surrender to whatever was to unfold. As the story developed, it uncovered memories of a painfully shy childhood and the sadness that came with never feeling like she was enough in the world. "I love this little fly immensely because it represents my inner life as a child that I've now learned to embrace. It is my hope that you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed immersing herself into this beautiful character". The Mere Fly tells a tale of a little fly that wakes up one day and has forgotten his power and beauty. He see's everything but him as the strength he needs to survive in the world. Eventually he realizes that the power he see's outside himself, is within.
