About the Book
“Oh no!” is the first book of a series, intended for all children who are just beginning to develop language. The book takes you through four different scenarios, each targeting early developing sounds. It focuses on common vocabulary words and uses repetitive two- to three-word phrases for practice. The book uses large, easy to follow text and simple illustrations to capture attention. Written and illustrated by Laura Prestia, a speech-language pathologist working with children with autism. About the Author
Written and illustrated by Laura Prestia, a speech-language pathologist working with children with autism. Over the years, Laura has created many "homemade" books focusing on the language skills she needs to teach her clients. With the release of "Oh no!", her first published book of a series, she hopes to provide insight on language development for all children. Originally from Windsor, Canada, Laura now lives in New York City. She enjoys photography, browsing bookstores, listening to music, traveling the world, biking the streets of Manhattan, and making stuff :)
