Elementary school girls in the 1960 and 1970 era, were given a "handbook" for the pitfalls of puberty about to befall them as they left sixth grade. However, now as middle aged women who face menopause, all they have been told is 'Watch Those Hot Flashes!" This is the sarcastic and humorous manual which should have been distributed. In the retro sense of "Love Is..." Laugh along with the author and illustrator as they present "Life IS.." in the search for lost appearance, sex drive, ambition and realization, that we are all indeed in it together!

About the Author

Lori Smith reached initial success in 1991with the release of the best selling novel "Dead Air,, a ghost writing project for talk show host Bob Larson. 2011 finds her returning to publishing with "Glint in the Dark" and "My Life Has Been a Waist" both books stand alone works of her own. As a wife and mother, Lori encapsulates her life and talent between the pages offering her readers a laugh or gasp depending on their passion. A Colorado native, she has raised three grown daughters and is now a grandmother of two. Always finding a way to develop a new character, she can be found behind the keys of her computer most days as she writes the wrongs that come to mind. Illustrator Lexi Thornton is well known in the yoga community for her skilled instruction and technique. A wife and mother herself, she enjoys seeing the humor and absurdity in life, capturing it in her drawings.
