Yvonne Villarreal Sánchez earned a Master’s of Education at Texas A&M University at Kingsville. She has been an elementary school teacher for about 25 years. Yvonne has directed stage productions around Central and South Texas for about 25 years in conjunction with teaching acting classes. More recently, she has written and directed three and is currently writing a fourth original play script to be produced and directed in December 2010. Also, she has been a certified Christian counselor for six-plus years.
She and her husband, Dr. Armando Sánchez, are the parents of three grown children – Kala, Karah, and Kristian. She and Armando also are Papa and Mimi to one granddaughter, Ava, daughter of Kala and Eric. If she could, she would live on the beach 24/7, especially enjoying the beautiful beach sunrises.Yvonne’s favorite occasions are family dinners with great food and an abundance of laughter. She loves to cook, create own recipes, and entertain, especially young people. Other interests include exercising and mentoring younger women. She enjoys designing and making her own stationery.
