Nicole lives with her mother, in a little town called Stars Ville.
Stars Ville got that name because of the old tales about the falling stars. People still remember the wishes coming true.
”But careful” they would say, “wishing can be a very dangerous thing The wishes could come true, and certain things may not be as great as they seem.”
It was the end of the school day, and Nicole was walking home since she had missed the bus.
She thought to herself, “Mom is going to be so angry, It’s the third time I have been late this week.”
When Nicole got home, her mother was in the garden planting some tulip buds.
”Nicole, why are you home so late? I was worried sick! ”
“I missed the bus, so I walked home,” she replied, but she was so caught up with explaining that she didn’t even notice all the flower products her mother had laying out, and before she could look, there she was, tripping over a big bag of flower seeds. Nicole flew over the bag and into the pots of tulips, breaking them all in pieces, and landing face down with dirt and flowers all on her head while the seeds flew out all over the sidewalk!
The next thing you heard was Nicole’s mother yelling out, “ Nicole, my goodness, you’re always so clumsy! Now it will take all afternoon to clean up.”
Nicole went inside. She was very annoyed with her mother now.
“As if it was my fault! She had all that flower junk just hanging out where people have to walk,” she complained to herself.
After getting all that dirt out of her hair, Nicole decided to go downstairs to watch her favourite TV show.
As soon as she sat in front of the TV, she could hear her mother call out, “Nicole, you know the rules. First you finish your homework. Then you can watch television.”
So Nicole went back to her room, pouting because she could never do as she pleased.
After a bit, it was time for a snack, so Nicole went in the kitchen to eat a nice slice of chocolate cake, but again her mother said, ”That is not a wholesome snack, dear.

About the Author
Cristina Bruno , was born on june 2 , 1975, in Cortland NY, where she grew up with her mother and sisters Vanessa and Erica untill the age of 15.
In 1990 her family moves to Italy for there business; to build "Le Gardenie" tourist village in Cariati, CS in Calabria. Beautiful resort in southern Italy on the Ionio sea.
Two more members came into her family; sister Monica and brother Michael.
She is very united with her sisters and brothers, who are all characters used in her books and that are based on there true personalities.
Cristina always had a special passion for arts and crafts, she won several awards in art competitions in Ny state and in italy from a very young age.
She started writing stories for children since she was 8 years old.Then would bring her self -made books to school, to sell the copies she had made to her friends. Showing her ability as a baby entrepreneur.
Finaly in 2007 she started working on her first book for children:"The Mother Store", that was a remake of the original tale she created in third grade. This turned her favourite hobby into a career. After years working as a sports journalist and fitness model, she now is a pubblished author and illustrator.
Cristina currently lives in Pescara Italy and has three wonderful children; Daniel , Alessandro and Nikole.
Last but not least she has her fantastic nephew Andrew, who is the first one to critique her manuscripts as soon as they are finished.
