About the Author
King David's way of writing and expressing God's inspiration highlighting the events of his life in the book of Psalms has reached through the denisity of the average man's lack of sensitivity to arive at the miniscule emotions of that man like no other writer in the Bible. Meditation upon the book of Psalms can lead a naive believer to such a blind adoration of King David that he or she fails to see that his affair with Bathsheba was not the only sin he ever committed in his life. The elimination or exclusion of Bathsheba from King David's life would not have eliminated sin from his life no more than eliminating all women from any man's life would eliminate sin from the world. Sin is a choice not a person. The intent of the book of Psalms was never to elevate King David above the importance of any other man, but to emphasize the mercy and grace of God. One could assume that none of King David's brothers- from which he was chosen- would have slept with Bathsheba. Giant killers have their weaknesses. Anyone who proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ can be a man or woman after God's own Heart.
