Staci Capehart was born in the small town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the heart of the Ohio Valley. Throughout her life, the author has lived in many different parts of the United States, including Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Willingboro, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Charleston, South Carolina and Dallas, Texas.
Staci went to elementary school in Willingboro, Point Pleasant, and Atlanta. She gained her higher education in Baton Rouge. During her years in Georgia and Louisiana she began to write, but also made time for piano lessons and drum lessons.
Staci has written many stories and poems that have entertained her family since she was a little girl. She continued writing throughout the years and continues to do so, as an adult, to the delight of family and friends.
Staci currently lives in Dallas, Texas where she has worked for the last twenty years, and has had a successful career, in the hospitality industry. Even though she has a very busy life, she has always made time to continue her writing. Staci has always had a vivid and colorful imagination, and now that talent is being put into print for all to enjoy.
The inspiration for Furry Tails is none other than her beloved dog, Max.
Max or Mr. Mackie as he was lovingly called was Staci’s constant companion for eleven years, until he was called to DOGGY HEAVEN where he now resides, and directs the Heavenly Dog Choir. Several of Mr. Mackie’s choir members are family animal friends who have also gone to live in DOGGY HEAVEN.
