About the Author

Marilyn Carroll lives in the metropolitan Atlanta area. She is a Native of Birmingham, Alabama. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Organizational Management, specializing in Leadership with a focus in Global Management Practices at Capella University. She holds MBA and BS Degrees. She is a member of several professional organizations, including The Society for Human Resources, American Management Association and the Academy of Management. Marilyn has written several papers on talent management.

 

She is a Group Vice President with a financial services organization. She has over twenty years of management and leadership experience working in various organizations including a CPA firm, a Law Firm, a Healthcare organization, a Mutual Fund Company, and a Financial Services organization. She is the founder of Up-Next Coaching Career Consulting Services, a non-profit organization that works with High School graduates and college students as well as entry to mid-level career professionals on career development.

 

She is actively involved in the community serving as a member of the Georgia Court Appointed Special Advocates for children Board of Directors, and a committee member of United Way Women’s Legacy Leadership Team. She actively works on committees focused on serving students with disabilities.
