About the Author

Iffer Beisswenger and Margaret Eldred, authors of The Way We See Things, join the students in Mrs. Reese's Class at the Henry J. Kaiser, Jr. School Oakland, California, to address important topics on kids' minds. Iffer Beisswenger is 16 years old and attends St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. Margaret Eldred is 17 years old and attends Deerfied School in Deerfield, MA.

 

Through Our Eyes offers the varied and diverse perspectives of the 29 students (ages 10-12) in Mrs. Reeses Class at the Henry J. Kaiser, Jr. School. They provide an insightful "kids' eye view" of the world that encourages communication between kids and between kids and the adults who are important in their lives. While many adolescents are afraid to talk about the things that are of greatest concern to them, these students open discuss a wide variety of subjects that are on most kids' minds.
