Does Color Matter? Only When Misrepresented! We begin the pursuit of truth by starting with the only source of true knowlegde, the Holy Scriptures.* All other is learned knowledge and what man him-self has concocted. If the Bible is true and from GOD, and it is, then it contains the answer this thesis presents. We will first look at some Old Testament scriptures that indicate color issues. Along the way, one of the most reliable documents prepared by man, the encyclopedia, will be consulted for verification only. Use of this document simply bridges the academic gap between the Bible and so-called seminary schools of theology. It is not necessary to step outside of the Bible to prove what is contained in it. The Creator sustains his WORD, if GOD said it, that's it!:
*Exodus 4: 6, 7 & 8 - "And the LORD said furthermore unto him. Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold his hand was leprous as snow. And he said, put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put forth his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh. And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
In the book of Exodus, GOD uses Moses to demonstrate a powerful perception. If Moses is to be successful in front of Pharaoh and the magicians of Egypt, "Jannes" and "Jambres," he must be persuasive. What could be more startling than a very black person's hand suddenly turning white and then back to very black again? (case in point, this latter sign of Exodus was omitted in the movie "Ten Commandments," staring Charlton Heston as Moses, directed by Cecile B. DeMille). Certainlly, GOD thinks this latter sign to be more persuasive than the first sign. The first sign was turning the rod into a serpent, (case in point, but this portion was shown in the movie). Why did the movie not show the more powerful latter sign, as deemed by GOD, of leprous as snow?
In my opinion, even DeMille knew, it would not have been more impressive for a white European male to turn one shade lighter than his normal color, over, a rod turning into a serpent (snake).
