“Arleigh! Not while I’m driving!” She pulled his hand from her breast, then slowed to a stop at that intersection with KK, where she had once stalled while driving the car for that very first time. As she finessed the steering wheel to the right, the rain really picked up. Lightning flashed incessantly, out to the west, as a line of embedded thunderstorms seemed poised to surge through.
“I can’t believe you actually came and got me this late in the evening, Rhonda. I really thought I had blown my chance.” He resumed running his fingers through her fine silky hair.
“Yeah. I’m still asking myself just why I’m doing this.”
He breathed in her ear. “Because you’re so hot for me, baby!”
“Well-----it’d better be good, after waiting two hours for you!”
He gazed at her anxiously. “It will be, baby. I promise!”
“Yeah-----that’s what they all say.”
He pinched her gently. “Girl-----you cut me to the quick!”
“Get over it!” Then she breezed by the dorm where Arleigh should have been spending his last night. “And you’re not the wizard of Oz!”
“Hey! You passed up my place!”
A naughty smile crossed her face. “I know!” Then she turned off from the main road.
“So where are you taking me?”
She giggled playfully. “I’m taking you for a ride!”
He shot right back. “Obviously! Just like every other girl I’ve ever known!”
“That wasn’t nice!”
He ribbed her again. “Touché!” Then as he realized things might be getting interesting, he wrapped his lips over her ear. “Hey!” he whispered softly. “How’s the sensuous one?” He began nibbling away.
“Ooooohhhhh!” she cooed willingly, melting as he probed.
She felt the rising rush, as she gazed into his eyes, and it was all she could do to maintain control.
“She wants it,” he suggested in his most enticing voice.
“No. You want it,” she retorted in her gamelike resistance.
“This female’s ready.” he persisted while rubbing her hot spot.
“No. You’re ready,” she countered while pulling away.
“What’s this? Don’t you know? I’m here to service you!”
“You’re here to service me! Get away!” She playfully pushed him off, while trying to regain at least some semblance of composure, as she continued driving along. “You’re the one who can’t do without it!” Her starry eyes were sparkling with resolve. “You know you can’t!”
She gave him that Rhonda look that only she could give, while relishing the sparring and anticipating his response.
“I can do without it.”
“Yeah! Like a fish can do without water!” Her all-knowing smile grew even broader.

James Alan has been dabbling in writing throughout his life. From authoring articles in his company’s monthly employee magazine, to creating his first major novel over a decade ago, Jim has continually had the urge to put pen to paper to express his thoughts. It’s been said that we all have at least one good story within us and, if given the right voice, any story can sell.
Ultimate Climax is just such a story. While it may be his own, it could easily be anyone’s. Jim is a firm believer that the best way to tell a tale is through the dialogue of its characters. And, boy! Do they dialogue! He has a real knack for creating scenes that are not only believable, but, at times, down right riveting!
If his first published novel is any indication, we should be expecting great things from this author in the future. He’s funny. He’s serious.
