"Aight daddy, I'm going up to Stinky-Man and Lil Tee spot." I told my dad so he wouldn't worry. My dad didn't always believe me, but I was going to go, because I knew I would still make money at their spot. As I stepped out of the car my pops said, "A son, I love you!" It was something about how he said it that sent a chill down my spine. It was like everything he had just told me was all for a reason beyond what I could see. I looked at my pop and told him I loved him too. I closed the door and started walking through the cut behind the store. I was in my own world thinking about the things my dad had just told me. I had heard him loud and clear. I knew that he just wanted better for me then these streets. I had it registered into my head, that if I chose the streets, I would be willing to go that much harder than the next nigga. Plainly put, it was go hard or go home. Voices up ahead brought me out of my zone that I was in. Coming the other way through the cut was two of the older cats from the hood. They hung around the corner at a lil trap house, but were known for more than just trapping. As they got closer I felt that same chill go down my spine that I just felt moments ago. As we got damn near face to face, the bigger of the two spoke. "What it do folk, what the store looking like?" He asked looking a little crazy. I knew he meant was there any cops up around by the store. Still on my shit I replied, "er'thing cool." Just as I said cool the smaller of the two tried to grab my arm and I went into go hard mode. I snatched my arm loose so fast he didn't get a chance to get a good grip on me. Using my other hand I pulled the 9mm off my hip while falling back. Being on the ground gave me a good vantage point being that I was outnumbered. Well, not really, because I kept an army on my waist. I aimed for big dude's head first and let loose two shots before he could even react. Before he hit the ground I turned the 9mm on the one who grabbed me and I went for his head too. I thought that my aim was on point, but it wasn't......I missed. Instead of hitting him in the head, the bullet penetrated his heart. I jumped up and took off running like my life depended on it. I didn't want to go anywhere but home. I ran non-stop until I got to my front door. I fumbled for my keys, but I finally got it and slung the front door wide open. I slammed the door closed behind me and took off to my room. I tripped over the rug in the hallway as I felt the adrenaline pumping through my body. I crawled to my room and locked the door. I removed both of the guns I had on my waist. I knew I had done the right thing, but still, a million things ran through my mind. The one thing that stood out the most was that I really had no feelings behind the shit. I knew I was heartless and had been since 1987. I don't think I'm the shit......now i know.

Hammer was a cold character with plenty finesse. Being able to know when to grasp an opportunity takes you a long way. Hammer had become an expert in taking advantage of an opportunity. Just like he did when he was young which now had him at the top. Not to mention Sasha which is the queen of Hammer's castle. Hammer never let an opportunity go.
