Fear, Faith, and the Fiend

The night air was crisp and salty in the lungs of the co-pilot. He begged the men to leave him on deck for a little while longer, before they took him inside to get checked out by a doctor. The men agreed and prepared to dive back in the water, to look for survivors. As the divers checked their diving equipment, the co-pilot had an Apocalyptic vision. He cried, " The entire ocean looks like it's put to the torch!" The co-pilot then collapsed on the deck as he screamed those frantic words. The entire ocean looked like a giant ocean of fire. There was a smell of sulfur and even of brimstone. A pungent odor filled the co-pilot's nostrils, almost to a point of him not being able to taste what he was smelling. Yet, the smell was beyond anything he ever smelled before. In his very soul, he could smell and taste the awful odor of the flaming ocean.
