About the Book

Good and evil floated recklessly and relentlessly as options for deeds. The Reverend Paul David Sinn, a pastor in an independent Christian community worked diligently in the foreign mission field as a program of witness for not only his faith but also the faith of his family. His wife was murdered, and his daughter kidnapped for a ransom that was paid and accepted but ignored as satisfaction for the terms of her release. Instead, the villains held the young twelve year old for sale into prostitution. The Reverend morphed into a ranting Scorpion intent on revenge cloaked as justice. He killed, maimed, and led a revolution in a foreign land, successfully. Sanity returned when he saved his daughter but his guile festered for the innocent collaterals suffering under the malicious tyranny of hooligans. SCORPION is a tale told by Reverend Paul’s companion, Shah Carlos Calusa on an Atlantic Ocean beach after a successful life. The redeeming quality of his faith lifted him from the path to perdition.

About the Author

The Reverend Doctor Ronald Lee Weagley, a clergyman ordained in the Lutheran Church in America on June 8, 1969 began his ministry after graduation from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with a Masters of Divinity degree. He also earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1976. Prior to ordination, he served in the US ARMY in East Africa, and worked in the business world as an assistant to a trucking company president and as a branch manager of a finance company. Dr. Weagley served not only in parish ministry as a pastor, but also in the Church hierarchy as an assistant to a Bishop in Central Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and in the social ministry mission discipline as a Division Director and as a Regional Director. He accepted a call in Lutheran Parochial education services as a Chief Executive Officer of a school system for children—preschool through High School—and an influence for the voiceless in the Church bureaucratic system in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Florida synods. He also served as a commissioned officer chaplain in the US NAVY Reserve for over ten years. Dr. & Mrs. Weagley, (currently retired) are the parents of four children, thirteen grand children, and five great-grandchildren. In 2007, Dr. Weagley contracted Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a paralytic virus that immobilized him, leaving residual limitations. A conscious decision to write books in lieu of preaching the Word lifted some physical limitations; and because of his investment, six published books are available.
