About the Book

The Massacre at Noe Creek is a collection of partly truth and partly fiction short stories and tales. Noe Creek, the story from which the book takes its name is the story of how an event near the end of the civil war affects the lives of two young people at the beginning of WW II. It is a delightful tale of romance and war. Colonial heights Road, the second story in the book, is part history and part biography as it tells the story of the author coming of age while growing up in this rural crossroads community during the 1940’s. Other stories in the book include fishing and hunting tales, and the author's memories of his trips to Moscow and England.

About the Author

Freddie is a retired research chemist, retiring from Tennessee Eastman’s Research Laboratories in 1992. He received 14 patents and was the author of more than twenty Defensive Publications from the US Patent Office. He now lives in Northeast Tennessee where he enjoys raising bonsai trees, playing golf and taking long naps. The Massacre at Noe Creek is a collection of short stories that were inspired by events that actually happened to him. It includes Colonial Heights Road which tells the story of his coming of age while living in this rural community during the 1940’s. These stories are partly truth and partly fiction and it is sometimes hard to tell when the truth ends and fiction begins.
