CAPRICORN

    Captain Otis Kemp wrestled in vain with the controls.  He pulled back on his wheel with all his might in an effort to prevent the plane from nose diving further.
    Gradually, painfully, the nose of the plane began to climb, but it was too late.  The fire on the left wing was unbalancing them, causing them to rock more violently than before.
    He brought the landing gear down as a flash of lightening lit up the black sky.  The trees were directly in front of him.  Nothing but trees.  It was hopeless and he knew it.  There was nothing more he could do.
    They were swept into a sea of blackness as the Capricorn crashed into the trees with a deafening roar. 
    Hand luggage tumbled down into the aisles on top of passengers.  Seats were wrenched free, windows were smashed in, throwing glass everywhere.  All the lights went out, further enveloping them in a dense, sticky blackness.
    The Capricorn didn't stop on impact, but rather, continued to plow through the monstrous trees, breaking up as it went along.
    Both wings snapped off as it smashed a path through the trees.  The body of the plane hit the earth hard and split.
    The rear of the plane grounded to a stop after filling with earth and foliage.  Rain continued to fall and the black jungle was filled with thunder and lightening.
    The front half of the plane continued its course through the jungle then stopped.  Three sonorous explosions filled the night air.   
    Wild birds screamed loudly during the chaos.  Wild animals could be heard in the distance.  But it wasn't the birds or wild animals that let out the terrifying, blood-curdling sounds.  It was the moans and cries of humans.
    Hollywood and the Capricorn had vanished into the depths of the jungle without a trace.
