When he returned to the table he had a very odd look on his face like something had startled him. He looked over at me and asked, “Do you wish to dance?” He grabbed my hand and led me to the dance floor.
I was shocked at his forceful behavior. “Okay, I guess so. I’m up here now.”
I hadn’t danced a slow dance since Corey and I had split up. As much as I hated to admit it, I loved it. He held my body tightly against his. I could feel his every breath. His body was as solid as a rock, yet his strong arms rested on my waist like a feather. He pulled me closer, pressing our bodies tightly together. I could feel my body heat up with passion.
“Elizabeth,” he whispered.
“Yes?” I replied with heavy breath.
“I can’t even describe to you how I feel right now,” he said in a very deep throaty voice, almost like he was in pain.
“SletteKorbinian, are you okay?”
“Please call me Raven; that is what my family and close friends call me.”
Starting to feel a bit uncomfortable from his tight grip, I responded. “Okay, Raven, are you okay?”
He pulled my body even tighter to his; it was becoming harder to breathe but yet I longed to be with him.
With a raspy voice, he whispered in my ear, “Elizabeth, please say my name out loud.”
I could feel my entire body start to tremble with passion. I tried to pull back from him. “Raven, I can hardly breathe.”
He pushed me back and gazed down at me. “Come, let’s get some air!” He led me off the dance floor and out onto the terrace.
He was acting like a madman. “Are you okay?”
He smiled at me. “Yes, beautiful, I’m wonderful.”
